Young Volunteers in Westminster
About the project
With the support of Westminster Foundation, Tutorfair Foundation is piloting ‘Teach Westminster’ - a programme empowering young volunteers in Westminster to effect positive change in their community.
This summer, Key Stage 5 students from local schools are delivering free, online maths and English tutoring to Key Stage 2 and 3 learners within their borough. This project was conceived by ‘Global Teaching Alliance’ - a group of 12 sixth form students at Westminster Academy.
Young volunteers receive training and guidance from Tutorfair Foundation and go on to tutor a younger student in their specialist subject.
